The Riverside County FQHC Look Alike Community Health Center Board is always interested in potential Board members who are “users” of services at any of its ten county health clinics. The Community Health Center Board meets monthly at either the Riverside Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, or at one of the ten health care clinic facilities in Riverside County.
The Board members are responsible for approving policies which relate to the operation of the Clinics; approve the budget, approve priorities and strategies for major resource utilization, and evaluate the services provided at the clinics. The Board is also responsible for the selection and dismissal of the Executive Director of the Clinics. The meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month, and last from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Lunch is provided, and the volunteer Board members are reimbursed for mileage expense.
Experience in health clinic operation is not necessary; preference will be given to candidates that are current users of one of our health care clinics. If you are interested in serving as a member of the board but are not users of our clinics, we can provide you with information about the services we have for you and your family.
