Testing

STIs / STDs

All persons age 12 and older are eligible for confidential STD testing. Children under the age of 12 must have parental consent. The visit will include an examination based on your symptoms. You may or may not need a pelvic exam and pap smear depending on the situation. Most STD's can be diagnosed in the laboratory by testing a urine specimen or blood specimen. You will be given medication to treat the STD and counseled on how to protect you and your partner(s) in the future. Education is also provided on how to do breast self-exams and self-examination of the testes.
